TECH NOTE: These were all shot in the studio using slaved softboxed strobes fired by bouncing the camera flash into a card which tripped the strobes...kinda tricky because the SX70 did not have a flash sync and was'nt intended to be used this way. I wasted a lot of film testing it out. Eventually I got a nice effect which played off the creamy soft look of SX70 Time Zero film. In my style of Polaroid work I did not manipulate the entire image, I only made a few slashes and scribbles letting the strength of the photo show through. |
