A BIG Announcement!

Robert McClintock Announces Business Transition After a Life of Art and Resilience

Beloved Baltimore Artist Begins a New Chapter, With Easier Access to His Iconic Work

After decades of capturing the heart of American urban life through his vibrant, digitally hand-rendered cityscapes and pet portraits, beloved Baltimore artist Robert McClintock is entering a new chapter. His work, which is instantly recognizable for its movement, color, and charm - has become a staple in homes and communities not only in Baltimore, but across the country.

For the past 11 years, Robert has been living with Parkinson’s disease, facing its challenges with the same grace, creativity, and resilience that have always defined his art. As the disease progresses, he has made the bittersweet decision to step back from the daily operations of his Hampden studio and focus his energy instead on creative projects aligned with this new season: including writing and developing a series of books reflecting his life’s work.

While Robert will soon no longer be offering in-studio pickups or creating new pieces, his artwork will continue to be available with new streamlined shipping options making it easier than ever for fans and collectors to access his artwork from anywhere. A limited sale on existing studio inventory - including matted & framed prints, canvas wraps, and postcards - will help mark this transition.

“After 30 years I am announcing my retirement. Baltimore is my adopted home and I truly adore it. I’m so appreciative of all of my patrons over the years for accepting me and inspiring my work. Looking back at all of the art that I’ve been able to create, from cityscapes to pet portraits, leaves me with a strong sense of fulfillment and gratitude,”  shared artist Robert McClintock.

This shift reflects not a winding down, but a reimagining of how Robert’s work reaches the world - opening up new opportunities to connect with long-time collectors and new admirers alike.  Robert McClintock’s work will continue to speak for itself: bold, joyful, and full of life- just like the artist behind it. Join us on this next chapter of his journey!
